Everything is true. To any given person, what they believe to
be real, that of which they are utterly convinced, is real. We
each reside within a separate reality. What is real to one person may
not be real to another, but the simple belief of something creates it
within that person's plane of existence. What you believe to be true
is true, to you.
However, we exist on a web of intertwining realities, with each of
these constantly shifting and interacting with each other. Some realities
are completely detached from each other and others are closely woven.
Different degrees of reaction take place as they interact. Occasionally,
there is a reaction so volatile as to completely change one or both
of two interacting planes. A good example of this is love. To fall in
love is to change the way that we think, that we perceive. The meaning
of life changes, to fit the altered realities.
Does God exist? The answer to this is different to every one of us,
but even that can change. All perceptions change with time and so all
planes continually fluctuate, although there is a great variance in
degrees of stability.
If everyone were to embrace this view, surely there would be a dramatic
reduction in conflict. Take the following example:
A fanatical cultist, a Christian, an aetheist and a Subjective
Reality Theorist all meet.
The cultist says to the others, 'You are all wrong and must be
converted to my beliefs.'
The Christian says, 'You are all wrong but I tolerate your beliefs.'
The aetheist says, 'Your beliefs are all wrong but it doesn't
really bother me.'
But the Subjective Reality Theorist says, 'Actually, you are all
right.'
